Abruptio

DATE: Saturday, August 12
TIME: Video On Demand
VENUE: Digital Screening Room

One of the most devilishly inventive films of the year, the pure nightmare fuel ABRUPTIO features actual human-sized puppets probing the depths of humanity in an uncanny tale full of Kafka-esque alienation and Lynchian fugue that was nearly a decade in the making. Horror icons Robert Englund (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET), Sid Haig (HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES), Jordan Peele (GET OUT), and James Marsters (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) star in this delightfully disturbed story that follows a down on his luck man who wakes to find an explosive device has been implanted in his neck. He must carry out heinous crimes in order to stay alive while trying to identify the mastermind manipulating the now twisted and strange world around him.
