Breeder

VENUE: Classic Gateway Theater

An eccentric poodle breeder. A desperate college genius. One absolutely unhinged proposition. Nothing can prepare you!

When cash-strapped college student Russell hits a dead end trying to fund his groundbreaking research to save the world’s endangered bee population, a miracle seems to arrive out of nowhere. Enter Patti, an eccentric poodle breeder living off the grid on a remote ranch, who offers him the financial lifeline he’s been desperately searching for. There’s just one problem. The offer is real. The strings attached are not.

What begins as an awkward trip into the middle of nowhere quickly spirals into an unimaginable nightmare of escalating weirdness when Russell discovers Patti’s true condition for funding his research. Part pitch-black comedy, part nerve-shredding horror, BREEDER sinks its teeth into uncomfortable truths and taboo ideas. Imagine BARBARIAN crashing headfirst into MISERY, with traces of DOGTOOTH’s twisted social conditioning and TUSK’s fearless descent into the absurd. Yet BREEDER remains defiantly its own beast—an unpredictable, genre-bending thriller where the unthinkable becomes disturbingly normal and every new revelation is somehow more jaw-dropping than the last.

Buckle up—this one is completely… off the leash.
