After their car breaks down, four youths find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere. One pair stays with the car while the other pair head-off to find help. Little do they know they are being watched by a family of sadistic butchers who have retreated to the backwoods and, from the deep freeze of winter to the dog days of summer, anyone who crosses their path is dead meat. Soon the friends are tied up in their wooden outhouse being kept fresh and have little time to escape before it’s their turn on the chopping block.
