Deep Blue Sea

DATE: Wednesday, April 15
TIME: 9:30PM
VENUE: Gateway Theater Fort Lauderdale

COME ON IN, THE WATER’S GREAT! Action Maestro Renny Harlin joins Popcorn Frights for a one-night-only, adrenaline-soaked double-bill event that celebrates his triumphant return to shark attack cinema! Come for the special presentation of his hotly anticipated new film DEEP WATER at 7pm (RSVP at this link), then stay for the ultimate shark attack classic DEEP BLUE SEA at 9:30pm, featuring director Renny Harlin in person for both screenings!

There are shark movies… and then there’s Renny Harlin’s high-octane, no-holds-barred action-horror spectacle DEEP BLUE SEA, which makes JAWS look like FREE WILLY. A crack team of scientists becomes bait (while trying to cure Alzheimer’s) for a trio of intelligent, genetically-modified sharks that are BIGGER. SMARTER. FASTER. MEANER. This movie has it all. It’s got Thomas Jane doing what he does best… being a badass (this time in a wetsuit!). It’s got Saffron Burrows going toe-to-fin in a soaked showdown (for science, obviously). It’s got LL Cool J with a parrot. And it’s got Samuel L. Jackson stealing the show with one of the best deaths in movie history. Get these motherf****** sharks off my motherf****** underwater Alzheimer’s research facility! It’s outrageous, it’s relentless, and it’s an absolute blast.

Two films. One legendary director. A whole lot of sharks. Don’t miss this must-see night of cinematic carnage—tickets won’t last long!
