EXORCISMO: THE TRANSGRESSIVE LEGACY OF CLASIFICADA “S” plunges deep into the dark heart of Spain’s cinematic underground—a world where censorship, repression, and Catholic morality once ruled with an iron fist. But after the death of dictator Francisco Franco, a wave of shock, sex, and subversion tore through the nation’s screens. This electrifying new documentary narrated by the legendary Iggy Pop and featuring Gaspar Noé and Álex de la Iglesia, unearths the scandalous rise of Clasificada S films—outrageous, erotic, and explosive works that turned sin into resistance and celluloid into rebellion.

Through exclusive interviews with surviving stars, renegade directors, and cultural historians, EXORCISMO reveals how a generation of Spanish filmmakers used horror, thriller, and exploitation cinema to confront a brutal legacy—and exorcise the demons of dictatorship. With rare, uncensored footage from the genre masters Jess Franco, José Ramón Larraz, Ignacio Iquino and others, this is the untold story of a movement that rewired the soul of Spanish culture, carved its name in blood and desire, and redefined the power of film to provoke, liberate, and terrify.
