A crafty celebration of monster-flick fandom that also delivers everything those devotees want and then some, FRIGHT NIGHT stars William Ragsdale as Charley Brewster, a horror-loving high-schooler who discovers that his new next-door neighbor Jerry Dandridge (Chris Sarandon) is a creature of the night. Charley’s only hope to stop Jerry from killing him and seducing his girlfriend Amy (Amanda Bearse) is washed-up actor turned TV horror host Peter Vincent, played by Roddy McDowall in his finest latter-day performance. FRIGHT NIGHT is a revisionist valentine to the nostalgic spirit of classic horror, all wrapped up in 1980s excess courtesy of the director of the original CHILD’S PLAY.
