A gory thrill ride that falls midway between Deliverance and Surviving the Game. An alcoholic degenerate drifter becomes stranded in a one-horse town deep in the American desert. It turns out that the town’s psychotic rednecks celebrate a gory pastime rounding up drifters and hunting them for sport. It all leads to a blood-soaked, live-or-die showdown that’s one of the meanest, most nihilistic pieces of American genre cinema.
