Mandy

DATE: Saturday, May 24

VENUE: Gateway Theater Fort Lauderdale

A gorgeous, romantic, absolutely wild revenge picture, MANDY is the ’80s-inflected slice of psychotronic cinema we never knew we needed. But we did. And thanks to our friends at Shudder, we’re bringing MANDY back to the big screen as part of our series marking Shudder’s 10 year anniversary.

When it came out, MANDY established itself as an instant cult classic, with director Panos Cosmatos’ trippy visuals, Jóhann Jóhannsson’s hypnotic (and tragically final) score, and Nicolas Cage’s cranked-to-11 performance. Don’t miss your chance to revisit this sensory odyssey in a theater, the way it was meant to be experienced.

Red (Cage) and Mandy (Andrea Riseborough) were happy together, until the night a band of murderous cultists invaded their home and destroyed the life they had built together, sending Red on a notably axe-forward odyssey of revenge. With stunning imagery, brutal violence, and Cage in a role that allows him to be both big and subtle, MANDY will sear itself into your soul.
