Revenge

DATE: Saturday, July 19
TIME: 10:00PM
VENUE: Gateway Theater Fort Lauderdale

As part of our Shudder10 celebration, Popcorn Frights is proud to present a special screening of Coralie Fargeat’s acclaimed, blood-drenched debut REVENGE—an audacious and visually hypnotic revisioning of the rape-revenge thriller that flips the genre on its head and never looks back.

Drenched in a searing palette of sun-bleached orange and electric teal, Revenge hurls viewers into a feral, adrenaline-charged desert hellscape where survival is not only a fight—it’s a reckoning. What begins as a romantic weekend getaway for Jen (a scene-stealing Matilda Lutz) and her wealthy, chiseled lover takes a dark and violent turn with the arrival of his hunting buddies, triggering a brutal chain of events. But Jen refuses to be a victim—and what follows is an unrelenting eruption of blood, fury, and one of the most satisfyingly savage acts of female retribution ever captured on screen, transcending even I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE.

Academy Award-winner Coralie Fargeat infuses REVENGE with bold visual flair with nods to MAD MAX: FURY ROAD and grindhouse classics, this is a genre-defying, pulse-pounding thrill ride that doesn’t just rewrite the rules—it obliterates them.

Bring your popcorn… and maybe a poncho. This one gets messy.
