T Blockers

DATE: Friday, August 11
TIME: Video On Demand
VENUE: Digital Screening Room

Returning to Popcorn Frights after the world premiere of the audacious slasher BAD GIRL BOOGEY, 18-year-old transgender filmmaker Alice Maio Mackay delivers a neon-infused, unapologetic trans homage to INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS in her spicy, playful, and utterly defiant genre-bender that’s brimming with youthful energy and punk attitude. Channeling Gregg Araki and John Waters and equal parts gross-out comic horror and heartwarming coming of age, T BLOCKERS is about a young trans filmmaker obsessed with a thought-to-be-long-lost film and the spread of a violent infectious parasite.
