The Ranger

DATE: Wed, August 15
TIME: 9:00PM
VENUE: Savor Cinema

A wildly energetic slasher that takes equal inspiration from the likes of Wes Craven’s The Hills Have Eyes to Friday the 13th, The Ranger is a neon-drenched love letter to punk rock and ’80s slasher movies that’s best played at maximum volume! When a drug-fueled night at an NYC punk club ends in a bloody scuffle with the cops, punk rocker Chelsea (Chloe Levine from The OA and The Deuce) and her bratty friends flee the city to the long-abandoned family cabin in the woods where she grew up. But there’s a history to the cabin. There are rules in the wilderness. And there’s a brutal ranger in the park. Starring Jeremy Holm (TVs House of Cards and Mr. Robot) as the unhinged ranger with an axe to grind. Loaded with humor, grisly goings-on, and a ragged howl of outrage, The Ranger rocks to a superb soundtrack including music by Fang, Rotten UK, Atom Age, The Avengers, Dayglo Abortions, and more!
