In this chilling new horror film from A24, a skeptical paranormal podcaster finds her life slipping when a series of deeply unsettling audio recordings lands in her inbox. Evy, host of the supernatural podcast “The Undertone,” is already stretched thin while caring for her dying mother in a house filled with memory and grief. When ten recordings from a young pregnant couple begin to unfold—each more disturbing than the last—she starts to hear patterns no one else can. As the tapes echo her own unraveling reality, the boundary between investigation and obsession collapses. Tense, atmospheric, and psychologically relentless, this frightening descent into sound and silence will make you question what you’re really hearing, and whether some voices should have stayed buried.
