Unholy Night

DATE: Sunday, August 9
TIME: 7:00PM
VENUE: Savor Cinema Fort Lauderdale

Michael Gabriele has quickly become one of genre cinema’s most exciting new voices, winning Popcorn Frights audiences with the Jury Prize-winning GET AWAY and the wickedly funny ROOM TONE. Now, the filmmaker unleashes his feature debut—and it’s an absolute blast of holiday horror that’ll have you celebrating Christmas in July… whether you’re ready or not.

Christmas Eve is already stressful enough for Gino (Marc Bendavid from REACHER), who dreads another night of smothering Italian family traditions, relentless judgment, and an awkward reunion with his ex-girlfriend Rene (Shailene Garnett from DIGGSTOWN). But when his long-dead nonna unexpectedly returns with an insatiable appetite for blood, dinner goes from uncomfortable to completely unhinged. As the undead “ritornati” begin rising throughout the neighborhood, Gino and his wildly dysfunctional family must survive a night of zombie-fueled chaos, flying body parts, and generations of family baggage before anyone gets to dessert.

Equal parts hilarious, heartfelt, and gloriously gory, UNHOLY NIGHT is a wildly entertaining crowd-pleaser that stuffs your stocking with razor-sharp comedy, outrageous practical effects, lovable misfits, and enough holiday carnage to make your own family gatherings seem downright relaxing. Featuring a fantastic ensemble cast, this riotous Christmas horror-comedy proves that nothing brings a family together quite like fighting flesh-eating relatives. So pour the eggnog, raise a glass, shout Buon Natale!, and prepare for one of the year’s funniest, bloodiest, and most joyfully chaotic horror-comedies. Christmas has never been this dead… or this much fun.
