This highly ambitious edge-of-seater epic is a weighty doomsday tale of disaster, acid rain, love, evil Russians, extreme car crashes and exploding helicopters, among other phenomena. Initially framed as a family drama, the story quickly moves to pack everything you can imagine into a breath-stoppingly intense survival story featuring jaw-dropping bravura action, including one airplane-helicopter battle that’ll make you say, “WTF?” To say anything more would be to reveal too much!
